French Revolution which started to be talked about as a result of defending women’s rights can be defined as giving more rigths to women within society, bringing an equality between men and women rigths, as a movement of thought that seeks bringing equality and as a women’s movement. With this movement, the purpose is to get rid of gender discrimination and exploitation and bringing equality between men and women. Even though this movement was started to be defended by Western countries, it started to influence Eastern World within time. Incidents as such has always reflected on literature as well. Authors write about these topics by taking the needs of the society into consideration. By this means, topics that can’t be uttered by the society becomes legitimated and come to a solution.
As in other countries, feminist articles have been written in Turkey as well. In this study, we will talk about the development of feminism in Turkish literature and Duygu Asena who is a journalist, editor, broadcaster and also one of the first feminist authors in Turkish Literature.
