Abstract

Novel has portrayed life’s panorama, political up heavals and social strife at length in every era. It may occur from independence war of 1857 to any aspect of division of 1947, There is not a single independence war of 1857 which may not be sketched in this form of literature.

Khadija Mastoor’s “Angan” and Abdullah hussain’s “Udas Naslain” are the reflection of national history. In “Qaid” and “Nadar Log” too harsh and bitter effects of post partition are manifested.

Razia Fasih Ahmad’, Altaf  Fatima and Tariq Mehmood delineated a vivid picture of the mental agony and dilemma faced by the writers and poets due to the bifurcation of East Pakistan in 1971. Woes and worries of the migrants got a suitable place not only in intizar Hussain’s Novels but also in other novels of many novelists as well, through various characters.

Drastic changes of twenty first century also cast their influence on the literature of that respective time. Radical changes in Pakistani Government and politics were delineated by the novelists in form of different stories. In the specific era of  ‘Hasil Ghat’ Kaghazi Ghaat’ ‘Khas-o-Khasaak Zamany, There is a detailed description of the national and international issues which are very clean demonstration of the fact that a novelist maintains a deep insight on the objective matters rather than only subjective materials
