Abstract

in the state of Jammu and Kashmir Srinagar, Jammu, and poonch had been holding a pivotal position in literary perspective. There for the educationally and literary asset of the significant literary persons belong to these big cities. After the division of Kashmir the main centers of Urdu language i.e. Srinagar, Jammu and poonch had been a part of occupied Kashmir, but many of the scholars migrated and came to Pakistan and Azad Kashmir and settled there. After some pause in this mutiny aroused by the division, in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur the writers who had come from occupied Kashmir started literary activities once again. Different literary organizations had been founded. Literary meetings were initiated. Moreover, with the result of arrival of important famous writers in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur, while one had a strong tradition of poetry and prose established, on the other hand o precious work had been done in the field of research and criticism. Though the persons related to Urdu research in azad Kashmir were not related to any special school of thought, but in spite of this, their efforts in literature, history, biography and especially in iqbaliat are considered. Respectably even today. In this article a few important literary persons have been brought under discussion
