Qateel Shifai is one of the most popular modern poets of Urdu. His ghazal is a blend of externalism and romanticism. He is a liberal poet and that is why his ghazal carries the message of tolerance with vast and colourful shades. He is in favor of universal humanism beyond the prejudice of colour, race, nation, language, locality, country, religion and faith. He expresses his humanist thoughts in his poetry. This article is an analytical study of the message of tolerance in his ghazal.
