“Tanha” is a political novel which has been created in the background of Dhaka Fall.The central character of this novel is a girl student who went to East Pakistan from West Pakistan for studies.Through this protagonist the novelist Salma Awan has portrayed revealing political upheavals in East Pakistan.The first part of the novel extends acknowledgement of the Bengalies for being die hard freedom activist and highly sacrificing for this noble cause.Salma Awan has also enlightened some reservations rendered by afore said revolutionaries.
