Qayyum Nazar is a renowned poet of Halqa-e- Arbab-e-Zouq. He wrote a number of poems covering various topics like independence, patriotism, nature etc. Despite being patriotic, he discouraged wars because wars are always a source of destruction. But when it comes to protect our country against evils, he made no compromises. He has a firm belief that our brave army is capable to protect our beloved motherland. Through his poetry, he wants to awake the spirit of independence in Kashmiri people. He tried to infuse the spirit of hope and patriotism in the minds of people by writing a number of poems regarding the wars of 1965 and 1971. His poetry depicts the love for motherland, which needs no justification
