Abstract

The philosophical Interpretation of heart (Dil) is very important in the poetic constructions of Iqbal. This symbol shows the specific thinking of Iqbal regarding Human Self. In 'Baang e Dara', Iqbal tried to reshape the existing constructions of this Metaphor and set the basics of its new shape. Later he selected this metaphor to explain the possibilities of Muslims Renaissance. In the poetic constructions of 'Baal e Jibreel', iqbal introduced some new compositions of Dil like 'Dil e zinda', 'Dil e bedaar', Dil e beena and 'Dil e fitrat shanas'. These compositions have their unique and thoughtful perspectives. In this article it is tried to discuss the actual context of Dil and related compositions in reference with Iqbal's Poetry.
