Mirza Athar Baig, Hassan Manzar and Mustansar Hussain Tarrard are well known Urdu novelists who are prolifically writing in 21st century too. It is quite natural that the age of the writer is depicted in his works. Islamic values, religious traditions and diverse culture and civilization are important parts of Pakistani society. The above mentioned novelists' writings exhibit the diverse colours of Pakistani life and society. In their works we also find the comparison of western and eastern civilizations. Their novels also show the rebellious characters who go against the principles of islamic values and Pakistani civilization. Culture and civilization, stark realities of life, aspects of Pakistani life,  the development and problems of 21st century are the common features found in novels of  these writers.
