Shahnawaz Zaidi is a renowned artist, graphic designer and poet in Pakistan. He was born in 1948 and served in University College of Art and Design, Punjab University for 29 Years. Due to his major contributions to art, Shahnawaz Zaidi was awarded “Tamgha e Imtiaz” and “Tamgha Husn-e-Karkardagi ” from the Government of Pakistan. Shahnawaz Zaidi also experimented with ghazal and produced master pieces; however, he is mainly connected to the works in the genre of poem. He represents the realities of life in his poems which are a reflection of the contemporary issues. This article focuses on the different issues related to society raised by Shahnawaz Zaidi through his Poems and its impacts on the lives of their inhabitants.
