Abstract

The greatest example of hyper-reality in literature is popular novel which, beyond any shadow of doubt, transmitted the facts of historical and social conventions to common reader; but it's also a fact that in popular novel, instead of the depiction of reality, hyper-reality is presented and instead of delineating both pleasant and bitter aspects of reality, the delineation of sheer happiness has been given preference. M. Aslam is regarded as one of the most popular historical Urdu novelists whose depiction of romance and hyper-reality in their novels no doubt, earned them a remarkable status in the mob but this aspect also harmed their literary well-being.
