Abstract

Qurat ul Haider is the renowned Indian Urdu prolific Novelist and Short story writer of twentieth century. She started her literary career from childhood and become one of the famous female writers of the Indo Pak Sub continent.Anni Aapa (Nick name) had fantastic hold upon the historic events of several Indo Pak Sub continent like Aryains,Indians, Persians and Muslims etc. Aag Ka Dariya (River of Fire), published in 1959, one of her famous and most sold Novel became Magnum Opus (Great Work) in the history of Urdu Novel. In most of her Novels she has thrown light on several aspects of Hindu Mythology through different supernatural, primitive and romantic characters. Hindu or Indian Mythology is the reflection of beliefs, religious stories and fundamental ideology of the inhabitants of Indo Pak Sub continent.
